For
those lively Friday Night services with everybody singing along, this is the
siddur you've been waiting for! You want everyone to join in, even without
extensive Hebrew education. This is the book that makes it happen.
With contemporary translation, clear instructions and
line-by-line transliterations, the complete Hebrew text is accessible to
everybody.
This book follows the sold-out success of Friday
Night Alive!, the siddur that set Philadelphia dancing.
More, and better
But now we include the Minchah service as well as the
service for festival evenings--all in our fully revised and clearer format.
Inside you'll find the complete Friday Night service, with all the
psalms of Kabbalat Shabbat translated into English rhyme, the berachot of
the Amidah clearly marked, and of course line-by-line translation and transliteration
alongside the Hebrew.

The book has 125 pages and includes Minchah and
Ma'ariv (afternoon and evening services) for Shabbat and festivals. It does
not include the fast day Minchah service (the Tenth of Tevet will fall on a
Friday in 2010, on December 17, but no other fasts fall on Fridays). The
book includes the complete Kabbalat Shabbat service, with Shema and its
berachot, the Amidah, and concluding prayers such as Aleynu and Yigdal.
